On Wednesday (Oct. 3), Pooch Hall, best known for his role on BET‘s The Game was arrested on DUI and felony child endangerment charges.
TMZ reports the actor allegedly let his 2-year-old son drive because he was too drunk to steer. Law enforcement sources report the 41-year-old actor was driving in Burbank, CA at about 7:30 p.m. with the toddler in his lap holding the steering wheel.
Horrified as the car veered off and smashed into other parked vehicles, witnesses called 911. The authorities reported no injuries albeit an eyewitness claimed they saw the child crying in the front seat. Another eyewitness peeped in the window noticing the child’s car seat was laying amongst the junk in the back seat uninstalled.
When police arrived, they smelled alcohol and noticed Hall could barely walk. His blood alcohol level was 0.25 — more than three times the state’s legal limit. The Massachusetts-born actor was handcuffed and taken to jail. Hall’s wife currently has custody of their son. As of Thursday morning Hall is out on bail.
Hall was nominated for an NAACP Image Award in 2012 for his role as the fictional football player Derwin Davis on The Game.
